vaseline water |
A definition of a handmade negative is using different use of materials on a form of transparent sheet in your for the light to shine through.
For these handmade negative we cut a piece of transparent film roughly the same size as a negative carrier. you then choose your materials. I choose to use vaseline, washing up liquid salt and water. I resembled the material how i wanted them and then placed them into the negative carrier. I then tested different times roughly 3.0 seconds and then the traditional developing process. After I had done a couple of these I then went on to doing reversals which is placing a piece of photographic paper on top of a handmade negative you've already created. Again adjusting your times, mine were around 4.0 seconds and again using the traditional developing method.
