  • How have your original ideas / concepts changed from the start of the project?  At the start of this project, I wanted to look at relationships, as time progressed and looking at others art work I wanted to go in deeper with the theme. I started looking at as hand gestures, and how we say hello. I then went forward and looked at other hand signs. This really interested my and then started looking mouth movements when we speak. As you can say as time progressed so did my ideas for the final project.
  • How have your original ideas developed through experimenting with techniques, materials and equipment?  Usually, I like the have everything planned and perfect. But for this project I decided to freely experiment both in the darkroom and using editing software. Before, this project I wasn't confident on Photoshop and now I am slowly getting the hang of it. I now have the attitude that to be ruthless and interesting results may occur. I have also scanned in my darkroom print and reworked them on Google+ (what used to be picnik) to rework them and again create some interesting results.
With my darkroom prints i have tried combining techniques such as multi-exposure and photo grams to produce nice effects.
  • How have your original ideas developed as a result of researching the work of others?  I first got the idea of looking at hands through google. I typed in the word relationships randomly and a picture of hands popped up. Since then, I have been trying to find photographers so may specialise in this topic, as of yet I have not found one.
  • Do you think your ideas will continue to change and develop as your work progresses? Yes, i still have more research to do and would really like to find a photographer who is interesting in the same topic I wish to do for my final piece, when I find this person I'm hoping their work will inspire me to create my own interesting prints and outcomes
